Tennessee Concrete Association High School Essay Contest

~Open to all high school students who are 16 to 18 at the beginning of school

ACT Student Champion Award

~Applicants must have taken the ACT and fit the following:

     A student who has overcome challenges and can articulate education and career actions

     Has a composite ACT of 22 on a single test or a 3.0 GPA

     Preference will be given to underrepresented and/or first generation college students

~Students receive a $500 scholarship, certificate, plaque, and state level recognition

Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship

~Eligibility: minority high school senior, will attend a four-year institution, demonstrate

~Each year, the program selects roughly 20 college bound students who excel in leadership,

~To apply: Complete high school Chemistry with an A or B

Southern Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors Scholarship

~These scholarships will be awarded to seniors in Giles, Lawrence, Lewis, Lincoln, Marshall, Maury, Perry, and Wayne counties of southern middle Tennessee.

Martin Methodist College Future Educators Scholarship Competition

~To be considered: high school senior, minimum 3.0 GPA, minimum ACT 24

~To apply: submit application to Martin Methodist, reference from high school teacher

   addressing student’s promise as a future educator

Regions Bank Riding Forward Scholarship Essay Contest

~Students must write an essay about an African-American who has inspired and

   motivated them.

Maury County Farm Bureau Scholarship

~Requirements: Applicant must be a US citizen, Maury county resident, senior in a

   Maury county high school

William & Frances Turner Scholarship

~For attendance to Columbia State Community College or UT Knoxville

~Must be awarded to a student graduating from a public high school in Maury Co.

~Academic ability, financial need, and possible sources of funds will be considered.

  office March 15, 2019



Joshua L. Bailey Education Foundation Scholarship

~Graduating senior of a high school in Maury County

~Two letters of recommendation (one must be from a teacher). Recommenders should

  give their letter directly to Mrs. Lawson by April 12th, 2019.

Columbia Noon Rotary Club “Jack Carlton” Scholarships

~Applications and essays will only be accepted from high school seniors graduating

Columbia Noon Rotary Club “Interact” Scholarship

Brenda and Bob Haney Scholarship

~Must be awarded to a graduate of Columbia Central or Culleoka Unit School

~Student must be accepted in and attend an accredited college in Tennessee

~Minimum Grade Point Average of 2.5

~Two $2,000.00 scholarships will be awarded

~Application are available in the counseling office

~Completed applications must be returned to Mrs. Lawson by March 25th.





Maury County Chamber & Economic Alliance


~Applicant must be a high school senior who will graduate from a Maury Co. high school

~Must have a GPA of 2.5 or higher

~Must have a college or vo-tech major which the educational institution considers to be

   agriculture related

~Must be considered a “full time” student by the educational institution

~Must be available for a follow-up interview if needed

~The applicant must have a parent who has suffered a catastrophic, permanently

  disabling, or fatal injury for which the parent or parent’s was entitled to receive

2019 GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program

~After watching Dylan’s Gift (ESPN video) the senior will write a 200 – 500 word essay

Middle Tennessee Network Association MTSU Alumni Scholarship

~Award contingent upon MTSU admission or a class schedule
